Blue Interval: Between here and elsewhere

Blue Interval explores the shifting boundary between the familiar and the unknown. Working with landscapes and botanical environments, I transform recognizable natural forms into immersive spaces where color and perception become untethered from reality.

Rather than focusing on individual subjects, I am drawn to the density and layered complexity of the natural world, places where foreground, distance, light, and vegetation merge into a single environment. I think of the interval as a threshold, a passage to be lost in. I imagine these images as spaces one steps into, where observation gives way to immersion.

The work explores how photography can move beyond depicting the world toward altering our experience of it. I am interested in that moment when something remains recognizable, yet begins to feel unfamiliar.
